REFLECTION
This standard allows instructors demonstrated skills on implementing technology in assisting their teaching and enhancing communication with learners, peers, parents and other stakeholders. The proficiency of using new technology tools also guaranteed the effectiveness of locating the most relevant learning resources to maximize quality of learners' learning experience. The artifacts chosen reflect the areas where I believe this standard has been met.
Edpuzzle: An interactive video project that helps teachers and students in a flipped classroom. The video is customizable to meet the needs of the learning material given to the students. Edpuzzle helps because you can monitor and see the students results afterwards. If they just watched a regular video, you can't test their knowledge as they are watching like you can with Edpuzzle. Edupuzzle can be used in any categories of classes such as language, math, science, history and etc. The video can be edited to use only the part that is needed. It allows teachers to insert an audio track with one-click to start your voice recording in order to provide additional explanation or instructions verbally. The assessment part of Edpuzzle is accessible for students, and instructors can access the learning part of it. Quiz: We used Google forms to create a quiz for our classroom course site. Google forms were very easy to use and give you the options to customize your quiz or survey however you like. We had the option to choose which type of questions we wanted to use like multiple choice, fill in the blank, short answer, and True/False. Padlet Course site: We used Weebly to create the different course sites. It allows us to be creative on our site, it allows us to design our site to our needs and show personalized learning activities created. Weebly is easy to use and gives us a high-quality course site for free of charge by using a Weebly domain. I used Weebly to create my course site for Padlet. Padlet is an online graffiti wall where teachers and students can have discussions, share web links, post notices, collect feedback, or watch and share videos. Padlet accounts are free and you can make as many walls as you like. Students do not have to create an account to post on your walls. The course site tells about Padlet more in depth. It has tutorials and course materials for you to use.
In the future I plan to use the tools I have been given to apply to my own classroom. I thought at first that the assignments were difficult but they are actually very helpful teaching tools, once you learn how to use them. I will continue to share my knowledge with other teachers within my field
